Description

Lunchtime at school should be easy for little hands. The Chic Buddy Scoop & Scrape Spoon is a two-in-one silicone spoon for kids: a soft, shallow spoon at one end and a flexible scraper at the other. Your child scoops rice, dal or pasta, turns the spoon over in the same hand, and uses the broad blade to gather food from the corners of a steel tiffin, then flips back to the spoon for the final bites.

The middle of the handle is shaped for small fingers, with grip rings and side contours that show kids where to hold. The whole spoon is one piece of food-grade, BPA-free silicone with no metal parts or joints, it goes in the dishwasher, and with no separate parts there are fewer places for food to hide.

This kids spoon set has 2 spoons, one blue and one olive green, made for children aged 4 to 8. Use them as school tiffin and lunch box accessories, for meals at home, for picnics or for travel.

Directions & Care

Before first use
Wash in warm soapy water, or run through the dishwasher. No sterilising
needed at this age.

Every day
Dishwasher safe, top rack. Or warm soapy water — the one-piece shape has no
seams or joints for food to lodge in, so it rinses clean in seconds.

In the lunch box
Dry it before it goes back in the bag. Silicone holds droplets in the bowl
longer than steel does, and a wet spoon in a closed tiffin overnight is how
a lunch box starts to smell.

What not to do

  • Don't use it to cut — silicone scores, and a scored surface traps residue
  • No abrasive scourers or bleach
  • Don't leave it in a hot car for days; prolonged heat makes silicone tacky

If it picks up a smell or a stain
Turmeric and tomato stain silicone. A few hours in direct sunlight lifts most
of it. For odour, soak in warm water with a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda.
Neither affects safety — it's a surface thing.

When to replace
When the scraper edge splits or the surface turns tacky or sticky. In a school
bag five days a week, a year or two is a fair life.

Shipping & delivery

Dispatch — Orders placed before 2 pm IST on a working day go out the same day. After that, the next working day. No dispatch on Sundays and public holidays.

Delivery estimates — Bengaluru 1–2 working days · Metro cities 2–4 working days · Rest of India 4–7 working days · Remote pincodes up to 10 working days. These are courier estimates, not guarantees. You'll get a tracking link by email and SMS when the parcel leaves us.

Charges — Free delivery over ₹799. Below that, flat ₹30. Cash on delivery adds ₹5 — the handling fee our courier charges us, not a markup. Prepaid orders don't carry it.

Cash on delivery — Available up to ₹1500 to most pincodes. We confirm with an OTP before dispatch.

Tracking — Order number and email at Track your order. If tracking hasn't moved in 48 hours, message us and we'll chase the courier ourselves rather than asking you to wait.

Didn't arrive? — Message us. If it's genuinely lost we'll resend or refund without making you wait for the courier's investigation to close.

We don't ship outside India yet.

Returns & refunds

Faulty, damaged or wrong item — We replace or refund it. Always — opened or not, used or not. Photograph the item and the batch number on the pack, email care@chicbuddy.in with your order number. Sorted within one working day. No return postage needed.

Changed your mind? — Unopened, unused items can come back within 15 days of delivery, in their original packaging with seals intact.

Opened items can't be returned for change of mind. These are things that go in a baby's mouth or sit against their skin. Once a seal is broken we can't verify how an item was stored or handled, and we won't resell something we can't vouch for. It's the same reason you wouldn't want to receive someone else's returned teether. If it isn't working for you, tell us anyway — we'd rather hear it.

Starting a return — Email care@chicbuddy.in with your order number. We'll arrange pickup or a prepaid label where available.

Refund timelines — UPI / card / net banking: refunded to original method within 5–7 working days. Cash on delivery: bank transfer within 5–7 working days. Store credit: same day.

Refunds include delivery charges if the fault was ours. On a change-of-mind return, the original delivery charge is not refunded.

What we can't take back: Opened items for change of mind · Items without original packaging · Anything after 15 days · Sale items · Gift cards.

None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

FAQs

Will it scratch a steel tiffin?
No — silicone is softer than steel. That's the point of the scraper: firm
enough to clear a corner, soft enough to leave the box alone.

My child's food went yellow-stained the spoon. Is it ruined?
No. Turmeric stains silicone and it's cosmetic only. A few hours in direct
sunlight lifts most of it.

How we do things

1 · We name the exact material

Not "safe", not "premium". The actual grade — food-grade silicone, OEKO-TEX Class I cotton — written on every product page, along with what isn't in it.

2 · Tested to the standard that applies, with the number

Teethers to IS 9873, fabrics to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The licence number is on the product page so you can verify it on the public register without asking us.

3 · Where we don't hold a certificate, we say so

Our safety page lists what we haven't tested yet alongside what we have. If a certificate lapses, it comes off the site the day it lapses — not the day someone notices.

4 · Something wrong? You're emailing a person

Send a photo and your order number. We replace it, opened or not. And if it looks like a batch problem rather than a one-off, we check the rest of that batch and contact everyone who bought it.
